The Minas Gerais State Research Support Foundation (FAPEMIG) released, on 23 July, the preliminary result of Call 004/2026 (Collective Participation in Technical and Scientific Events in Brazil). The proposal coordinated by Professor Luciano Manhães de Andrade Filho was approved within the call's funding limit, ranked second in the Engineering panel (ENG I).
The grant funds the group's participation in the XXVI Brazilian Congress of Automatics (CBA 2026), held in São Paulo from 6 to 9 October 2026. Five members were awarded support, one per accepted paper:
- Chrysthofer A. A. Afonso (undergraduate researcher), presenting CGVWeb, the web modernization of the ATLAS Calorimeter Geometry Viewer.
- Eder B. Kapisch (researcher), with Deconvolution: online energy reconstruction in the liquid argon (LAr) calorimeter.
- Nelson Cevidanes N. de Assis (PhD student), with Lorenzetti: continuous flow simulation of front-end signals.
- Ualison R. F. Dias (postdoctoral researcher), with PZC-Wiener: energy reconstruction under high pile-up.
- Luciano Manhães de Andrade Filho (coordinator), with LATOME: functional testing of the LHC calorimeter trigger architecture.
The approval came in the preliminary result and now awaits FAPEMIG's homologation. The five accepted papers were announced in June and can be read on our Publications page.
